We are seeking a talented individual who are passioned about harnessing AI/ML-enabled medical imaging analysis to inform, shape, and optimize the development and delivery of cancer therapies.

This individual will play a key scientific role in extracting insights and evidence from our unique and diverse datasets comprising medical images (e.g., CT, digital pathology, etc.), structured clinical data and sensor data. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in applied machine learning for healthcare, especially in medical imaging analysis. The individual will also inform and participate in data-related efforts including data licensing, harmonization, and enrichment.
This position can be based in Spring House, PA; New Brunswick, NJ; Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA. Remote locations within North America may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead Development of Imaging Analytics – Spearhead the development, implementation and validation of analytical pipelines for medical image analysis.
- Translate research objectives into tangible data science executions – Clarify ambiguity by crafting iterative data science plans, fostering adaptability and improvement through internal feedback loops.
- Conduct Comprehensive Literature Reviews – Conduct effective literature reviews to landscape methodologies and integrate the latest advancements into the research approach.
- Utilize Advanced Radiomics Techniques – Utilize advanced radiomics techniques proficiently to extract image-based features, enriching patient- and tumor-level characterization.
- Navigate Complex Multimodal Datasets – Demonstrate a keen ability to navigate through complex datasets, extracting valuable insights from diverse imaging sources.
- Define Annotation and Labeling Processes – Establish annotation and labeling processes for medical images, ensuring quality and consistency in dataset labeling.
- Stay Updated on Imaging AI Developments – Keep abreast of the latest imaging AI developments, integrating new methodologies to continuously optimize algorithms and workflows.
- Effectively Communicate Scientific Results – Effectively communicate and present scientific results to team members and collaborators, facilitating understanding and dissemination of key findings.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Engage seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, partnering with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to optimize performance and amplify clinical impact.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with 2+ years of working experience within a healthcare research environment is required.
- Strong hands-on experience in the Python toolkit for imaging data manipulation, feature extraction and machine learning (e.g., numpy, scikit-learn, pytorch, etc.).
- Self-motivated with proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent verbal and written English language skills prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Proven publication records or contributions in radiomics, medical imaging analysis, or related areas in reputable conferences or journals would be a plus.
- In-depth understanding of medical imaging modalities, especially CT imaging, and experience in handling complex and diverse imaging datasets for radiomics-driven research and analysis.
- Familiarity and experience with other data types (e.g., molecular, RWD/RWE) and integrative multimodal analysis.
- Familiarity with one or more types of solid tumors (e.g., lung cancer).
Expected Base Salary: $104,000 - $166,000
