Our Analytics & Behavior Change organization leverages data science and data engineering to drive the next level of pharmacy care delivery at the intersection of CVS Health and Aetna. Our data scientists develop innovative member outreach campaigns to improve our members’ health, analyze patient behavior to optimize results and build models to drive business value. In parallel, our engineers and developers build a platform around scalable core capabilities that enable highly targeted and effective member outreaches for our pharmacists across campaigns.

About the Job

This is a senior individual contributor role in our Retail Health Services Analytics team tasked with developing scalable, data-driven insights and products to improve health outcomes. Examples include building prioritization, forecasting and uplift models, identifying and investigating trends and anomalies in data, and delivering solutions that optimize compute and drive automation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and implement predictive models using advanced data science concepts (e.g., regression modeling, time series forecasting, classification, data clustering, deep learning)
  • Utilize data mining techniques to extract insights from internal data sources to interpret model impact and goals
  • Analyze patient outreach and journey data to help develop benchmarks, optimization strategies and develop analytics solutions
  • Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents within the business, technology and operational counterparts on new insights and analytics results
  • Collaborate with large teams on code development, including developer-friendly Python packages to make data science-oriented functionalities accessible to the organization
  • Develop scalable source code, write tests, and participate in overall architecture discussions to create scalable products and functionalities

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience programming in Python and SQL
  • 2+ years of experience working in designing, developing and implementing data science solutions
  • 1+ years of experience with advanced machine learning techniques, leveraging PyTorch/Tensorflow

​Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Demonstrable Python software development background
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders
  • High level of self-motivation and curiosity
  • Knowledgeable about emerging data technology and learning techniques

Education

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative field

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 – $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
