The Position

We are looking for a senior data scientist who can, as part of a small agile team, take one of our digital products from proof of concept to a viable product. The product aims to transform the way we write documents (eg. clinical study reports) by introducing automation and natural language processing. You will be working in a transformative and innovative team, which is leading the pharmaceutical industry in automated document creation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements/design and translate those to application.
  • Scaling the product from POC to production in a sustainable way
  • Proactively identifying new and unforeseen automation opportunities and driving these to their ultimate potential
  • Continuous improvements to enhance the application

We're seeking candidates who fulfil the following prerequisites:

  • University degree (MSc/PhD) within Natural sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other relevant fields
  • Experience that demonstrates abstract reasoning skills, and the ability to evaluate diverse technological capabilities and apply them to improving processes
  • Experience in building real-world machine learning models with demonstrated impact and creating data products
  • Deep statistical skills utilized in A/B testing, analysing observational data, and modelling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills with expertise in developing and applying predictive analytics, statistical modelling, Data & Text mining, NLP, and ML algorithms on structured and unstructured data
  • Proficient in English and comfortable presenting topics to a larger audience

About the department

You will join us in Clinical Reporting at Novo Nordisk currently employing approximately 200 content creators such as medical writers and clinical publishers worldwide. We are part of Novo Nordisk Development and anchored in the Regulatory, Quality & Clinical Reporting area. Development is responsible for managing clinical drug development and submissions to health authorities worldwide, from the early development phases to market authorisation. Our supportive culture drives business transformation, and we value continuous learning, being bold, and striving for simplicity.

Clinical Reporting covers all clinical drug development projects across therapy areas. Our main focus is to use our scientific expertise to drive clear and impactful communication on the conduct and outcome of clinical trials, and our main task is to communicate clinical data in a clear and concise manner.
