Gartner for Marketers is looking for a Sr Specialist Data Scientist to join our Quantitative Innovation team. You will work with data scientists, data engineers, data interactives designers, product managers, and researchers to produce compelling data insights, enable user accessibility to enriched data, use Machine Learning to investigate research hypotheses, and contribute directly to the innovation of our scaled data tools, platforms, and pipelines (front-end/back-end/reporting).
As you contribute to our scaled automated data insights, you will directly impact Gartner for Marketers’ research agendas covering a wide range of topics related to the digital marketing performance of thousands of brands, and you will work directly with our internal data users to produce innovative, provocative findings for our published research on Gartner.com.
You have a passion for advanced statistics and data analysis paired with strong analytical capabilities and experience in data science-driven research production processes to help us create and deliver groundbreaking insights and best-in-class benchmarking. You will help drive advanced machine learning and data engineering techniques, data product management, and benchmarking methodologies across a wide range of data assets. You are an exceptionally creative problem solver with a desire to lead as a full-stack data scientist in a very collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and support existing analytics & machine learning pipelines (from data ingestion to visualization) with a focus on data insights delivery.
- Collaborate with peers in Research and Enterprise Technology to prioritize, plan and iteratively release products within Gartner for Marketers’ data product suite.
- Assist and guide internal users (researchers & analysts) toward statistically sound, publishable, data-driven insights.
- Identify and improve process inefficiencies and lead team best practices and documentation.
- Research and build innovative data solutions and tools with a mind for trends in digital marketing and marketing technology. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree/Certification in a quantitative field or relevant academic/professional experience.
- 2+ years experience in data science and/or comparable quantitative academic research experience.
- Advanced python & SQL.
- Advanced data prep skills: ad hoc & automated cleaning, validating, transforming, feature engineering, etc.
- Supervised & unsupervised ML capabilities: regression, clustering, classification, topic modeling, NLP, etc.
- Dashboarding & data visualization skills (Tableau, PowerBI, etc)
- Quantitative research methodology design experience, and familiarity with qualitative research methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders across levels.
- Exceptional critical thinking/problem solving skills.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 69,600 USD - 96,750 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
