And within NAOU, Marketing Teams are responsible for marketing and growing a portfolio of brands – ensuring that each brand connects deeply with local consumers in ways that scale globally. Our portfolio is made up of 20+ strong brands playing across different categories and serving board range of consumer needs and occasions.

Reporting into the VP of Portfolio Strategy and Insights, the Senior Director of Data Science & Analysis will lead efforts to develop solutions and processes that leverage marketing and business data in innovative ways, employing advanced analytics and AI solutions. This role will liaise closely with the global shared platform services team and will be pivotal in transforming our analytical capability by blending business insights with expertise in data and analytics.

In this role, you will also work closely with team of talented marketing/business insights professionals to solve real world business problems leveraging diverse data sets (consumer / shopper survey data, retail, media etc.). This role is central to fostering an analytical mindset and driving the evolution of analytical methodologies leveraging innovative tools and best in class partners. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in data querying, analytical programming, statistical modeling, and visualization, and be adept at generating actionable insights from deep data analysis in consumer, retail, and marketing domains.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive all data science initiatives within the Portfolio Strategy & Insights team – working closely with shared services (platform services) and external partners. Develop and implement advanced methodologies to analyze consumer and shopper behavior, identify consumer segments, and predict future consumer trends. Lead key initiatives within North America Marketing, working closely with best-in-class partners (e.g. – attribution models, loyalty card modeling, growth pathways for brands leveraging multiple databases) Guide the team in analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights into our consumers and shoppers. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and methods within the field of Data Science. Evangelize data literacy and foster continuous learning and improvement culture within NAOU PSHI and Marketing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of work experience in a data-centric business environment – understanding of marketing, consumer, CPG will be an added advantage
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights and solutions that drive business outcomes in a business or an analytics company
  • Expertise in AI/ML techniques, tools, and building frameworks.
  • Expertise in data analysis, modeling, visualization, and reporting tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, tools, and service ( e.g. Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, etc)
  • Comfort working with large sets of data to address identified and sometimes undiscovered business needs.
  • Good communications skills to be able to explain complex analytical solutions in a simplified way
