We are looking for someone who is inquisitive and enjoys applying data to address complex questions and tackling new challenges. You need to want to investigate interesting issues while also enabling others with the data to investigate for themselves. Reporting to the Director of Product, this individual will be designing and evolving the product database to meet changing circumstances, forecasting demand trends, and diving into deep analytical questions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the design and evolution of the Product and Capacity database to provide for historical data tracking, forecasting, dashboarding & reporting, key metrics, and daily demand analysis across all product lines.
  • Develop data pipeline requirements with product, capacity, and engineering teams to support all new product launches and planning roadmaps.
  • Collect, join and maintain data in support of team objectives, while maintaining data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborates with infrastructure engineering to understand and interpret metrics and relationships.
  • Identify concerns and proactively work with cross-functional teams to develop measurements, collect data and discover resolutions.
  • Ensure that product, hardware, and datacenter limits and assumptions are understood, measured, modeled and communicated.
  • Analyze and understand various demand streams and product trends to deliver robust forecasts.
  • Performs data analyses by distilling large data sets to recommend and inform business decisions prioritizing operational trade-offs and capital spend.
  • Builds capacity planning modeling and analytical tools, applying tools to gather relevant data and identify, track and report on capacity performance and restraints.

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • You like data and wrangling data
  • You have strong SQL skills and understand principles of designing database tables so they are usable by a broad audience
  • You bring Data Warehouse and Data Lake experience
  • Experience with programming in Python, R, or similar
  • Skilled at data visualization and working with BI software (e.g. Looker, Tableau, etc)
  • Familiar with the basic components of modern computers, virtual machines and hypervisors, and with computer networking

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $175,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
