In the role of Principal Data Scientist- Generative AI you will be tasked with advancing the analytical capacity of the bank by applying machine learning/AI to build Generative AI use cases to solve problems facing the bank. The Principal Data Scientist will also continuously research the new and emerging techniques within the field for practical application. Partner with IT to advise on and help creating robust data sourcing and management solutions.

Responsibilities:

Work with business to review data sources, data inconsistencies, and business logic for initiating data discovery
Parse and manipulate raw, complex data streams to prepare for loading into an analytical tool; delve into complex data from systems to discover hidden relationships and useful information
Implement data formulation process, including identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation, and temporal data structures
Develop reusable Generative AI Frameworks and products.
Perform hands-on text analysis
Apply best available practices for artificial intelligence and machine learning
Work with solution development team to define and implement data management, analytics, and user interface
Provide guidance to and direct the efforts of GenAI Data Scientists

Minimum Required:

7+ years of work experience in data modelling, statistical analysis, and relevant computing requirements
Experience in machine learning, data mining, deep learning and statistical methodology; demonstrated experience using these techniques to solve business problems
Proficiency in computer science or related discipline, coding in Python, R
Strong experience building predictive models, preferably for financial application
Strong experience working with large quantities of data, excellent SQL skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey actionable and understandable business intelligence

Preferred:

Passion for collaboration and working with and inspiring cross-functional teams
Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL, etc

Education

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
