About the Role
Total Wine & More is looking for a Data Scientist with expertise in all aspects of data science and data analysis, to join our Data Services team in Boca Raton, FL or Bethesda, MD. We are embarking on a significant initiative to transform all aspects of data, data science, and how data & insights are serviced within Total Wine & More – including data architecture, business intelligence, data enhancement, and using the cloud to apply advanced analytics and data mining capabilities. We are looking for someone who is experienced in all facets of the Analytics Lifecycle, including data gathering, data analysis, variable creation & selection, model building & selection, and visualization. You will report to the Director of Data Science and Analysis.
You will
- In partnership with the Director of Data Science & Analysis, use multiple advanced statistical models and machine learning to lead Total Wine & More business.
- Build machine learning and forecasting models through all phases of development from design, through training, validation, deployment, monitoring and measurement.
- Scope technical solutions on large amounts of data that use data analysis and predictive modeling based off our needs.
- Integrate scalable solutions into necessary applications and data pipelines.
- Champion best practices in ML/AI domain across Total Wine & More.
- Work with stakeholders of multiple tech skillsets about project implementation, results and evolutions of project.
You will come with
- 4+ years of experience in data science, predictive analytics, econometrics or related fields or 3+ years with Master’s degree.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related fields or 3+ years with Master’s degree.
- Track record in building impactful solutions using predictive & prescriptive modeling
- Experience using machine learning, econometrics, predictive modeling
- Experience using the cloud in the application of advanced analytics
- Experienced with general programing, statistical languages, and deep learning packages used to manipulate data and build statistical and machine learning models at a large-scale, such as Python, Spark, PyTorch,
- Tensorflow, Keras, SQL, and SQL-like query languages for NoSQL databases
