NVIDIA is hiring a Natural Language Processing Data Scientist within our new finance data science team in Revenue Finance. You will work alongside traditional data scientists, finance, and sales ops shaping how we analyze revenue, reimagining existing processes and incorporating Gen AI and traditional NLP into revenue forecasting and business analytics. We are looking for an NLP expert to challenge status quo, constantly innovate and break down complex problems, and communicate technical solutions effectively across organizations.

What you’ll be doing:

Apply natural language processing to business problems, making sense of previously inaccessible text data sources
Develop end-to-end generative AI applications and chat bots from internal and external data sources, allowing nontechnical users to benefit from NLP
Multifaceted NLP work including: LLM prompt, response, and chat analysis; document retrieval data and analysis; metadata collection and augmentation using machine learning techniques; LLM data sample categorization using prompt engineering techniques; outlier/noise detection
Monitor and reduce hallucinations, improving reliability and accuracy for business users

What we need to see:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or other relevant field or equivalent experience)
8+ years of data science experience, with a focus on natural language processing
Excellent programming skills in Python with strong fundamentals in programming, optimizations and software design
Hands-on experience on conversational AI Technologies like Natural Language Understanding, Natural Language Generation, Dialog systems (including system integration, state tracking and action prediction), Information retrieval and Question and Answering, Machine Translation etc
Ability to train BERT, GPT and Megatron Models for different information retrieval and RAG applications using PyTorch Deep Learning Frameworks and performing NLP data wrangling and tokenization
Experience developing production LLM powered applications and tools with natural language interface
Understanding of MLOps life cycle and experience with MLOps workflows & traceability and versioning of datasets including knowhow of database management and queries (in SQL, MongoDB etc)

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience gathering and processing text data from a variety of sources (PDF, audio/visual, API’s, etc.)
Experience with Flask or other application framework and experience protecting confidential data from LLM ingestion
Experience adapting LLMs to different domains such as automotive, health care, finance and so on
Familiarity with GPU based technologies like CUDA, CuDNN and TensorRT; Experience with Nvidia AI and Data Science software platforms, including Nemo and RAPIDS

The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
