As an Associate Decision Scientist of Client Analytics, you will be responsible for providing actionable and data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals and understand the business in-depth, support and challenge strategic options, and build state-of-the-art tools to drive value throughout our business. This position will work cross functionally with the sales team to provide data and insights to our clients based around shopper behaviors to enable better decision making across the organization.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office, (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Work cross-functionally to analyze large amounts of behavioral and transaction data to provide clients with actionable insights about Ibotta’s users and campaign performance
  • Use SQL, Excel and BI tools with some opportunity to partner with data scientists and other members of the Ibotta analytics community on projects needing the use of Python, R and other advanced analytics tools
  • Conduct high quality ad-hoc analyses, consulting with internal sales teams to build compelling sell stories and evaluate options for strategic program execution
  • Communicate complex analyses and data intricacies in a clear, concise manner
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients to provide insightful reporting and dashboards

What we are looking for:

  • 1+ years practical work experience in an analytics role
  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, economics
  • Experience and proficiency working with:
  • Data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Excel, Powerpoint, Git/GitHub etc.)
  • BI & other analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.)
  • Exposure to Data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for query optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret data with excellent attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organization and storage
  • Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external audiences
  • Eagerness and curiosity to proactively sharpen both technical and business skills

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.
  • Base compensation range: $60,000 - $80,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
