About the Team
The VIZIO Advertising, Technology, and Innovation team is looking for a highly talented and motivated data scientist to help build advertising technology products. We are looking for a dynamic employee to perform non-commoditized data work. The position can be held in one of several offices (San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, New York).
What You Will Do
- Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and write algorithms for use in production.
- Let the problem be the guide, sometimes the solution is a heuristic. Other times, it’s a model.
- Use data to evaluate the efficacy and value of product features.
- Organize and document complex technical projects.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You
- Trained researcher with a doctorate in a quantitative field or a master’s degree with a thesis.
- 5+ years’ ad-tech experience.
- Fluent in Python and SQL.
- High sense of ownership and results driven.
- Technical knowledge of the adtech industry and ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of predictive analytics, mathematical modeling, and statistics (theory, algorithms, and application).
- Proficient with modern big data technologies and CI/CD frameworks.

For New York-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $152,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $198,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
