You will be joining our Data Science team, working on groundbreaking applied research solutions that not only set new industry standards but also redefine the boundaries of possibility for our customers. Your work will be at the forefront of innovation, pushing the limits of what's achievable in bioprocessing and shaping the future of our field.

The role

Mission

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will lead the development of models and algorithms. You will be responsible for selecting and applying the right models, preparing datasets, and identifying opportunities to build large foundational models specific to bioprocess data. In this role, you will contribute through hands-on work, push the scientific bar with reproducible and well-documented research, and ship models that will multiply speed and product for our customers.

The interview process

The interview process consists of the four stages described below. Candidates are assessed between each of these stages. The hiring manager is responsible for communicating decisions and next steps throughout the process. We aim to complete all stages within two weeks.

  1. Discovery: A 30-minute conversation with the hiring manager to determine whether there is mutual interest in moving forward.

  2. Bioprocess and Data Science Competencies: A 60-minute deep dive technical conversation with a team data scientist to assess bioprocess and data science theory competencies.

  3. Technical Competencies: A 90-minute working session with two employees to assess python coding competencies.

  4. Non-Technical Competencies: Two 60-minute interviews with two different employees to assess non-technical competencies.

  5. References and Founder Chat: Three 15-minute conversations between the hiring manager and previous colleagues to gather external input. Simultaneously, a 30-minute meet-and-greet with one or both of the founders (depending on whether they have already participated in previous interviews).
