AminoChain is looking for an experienced Staff Data Scientist to join our innovative team. As a Staff Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive insights and support decision-making across our decentralized protocol infrastructure for healthcare applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that address complex challenges in the healthcare and biomedical research field.

We're developing the world’s first decentralized protocol infrastructure for healthcare applications, connecting hospitals, biobanks, and bio-pharma companies to unlock the full potential of donated biological samples.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize data science projects and research directions
- Develop and implement machine learning models and statistical algorithms to extract insights from complex healthcare data including maintenance of our schema, standardizing and connecting distributed data
- Design and develop data pipelines, data analysis frameworks, and tools to support data-driven decision making ; data adapters that map customer’s databases to a unified schema
- Perform exploratory data analysis and visualization to identify patterns and trends in large-scale datasets
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions into our platform
- Assist in the development of backend systems and/or frontend systems; especially in areas with exposure to customer data.
- Preform QA checks on systems utilizing customer data to validate that data is not misrepresented and is handled properly.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science and apply new techniques to drive innovation
- Collaborate with external partners and domain experts to leverage external datasets and domain-specific knowledge
- Contribute to research and development activities in the field of healthcare data science
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's in computational biology, systems biology, engineering, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of working experience.
- Extensive hands on experience handling biological specimen data is a must.
- Some understanding of human physiology or disease biology (e.g. neurosciences, cancer biology).
- Strong programming skills & experience working with software development teams.
- Committed to writing well-commented code and documentation, and familiarity with coding best practices (i.e. version control, code review).
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and job functions.
- Experience working in early-stage startups.
