What you will do:

  • Develop and deploy cutting-edge perception and deep learning models, including vision-language and large language models (VLMs and LLMs), for real-time integration into our system.
  • Create and optimize data pipelines for data mining, labeling, training, and evaluation, supporting comprehensive onboard development.
  • Conduct advanced research in perception algorithms to address complex, real-world scenarios, focusing on areas like object detection, segmentation, road understanding, and motion prediction.
  • Leverage multi-modal sensor fusion techniques to build robust architectures tailored for autonomous driving.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of current models on the WeRide platform in close collaboration within Perception team and cross-functional efforts with other teams.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Strong programming experience in C++ or Python.
  • Experienced in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, robotics, computer vision, data mining, LiDAR.
  • Knowledgeable in data structures, 3D geometry, and advanced algorithms. Solid foundation in core robotics principles, including state estimation, 3D reconstruction, and visual odometry.
  • Excellent software and computing fundamentals
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) or Vision Language Models (VLM)
    $120,000 - $165,000 a year Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $120,000 - $165,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
