The Data Science team’s mission is to increase our speed, frequency and acumen of making decisions at scale by instilling a data-influenced approach to building products. This team collaborates with all teams in the Cloud Data Platform ecosystem to provide end-to-end solutions.
We are looking for a talented and customer-obsessed data scientist focused on exploring and building novel applications in a high-impact and fast-paced environment. As IC leaders, you'll drive strategic decisions for user growth and product innovation, leveraging all data science toolkits (analytics, experimentation, forecasting, and ML solutions) to improve end-to-end consumer journeys at Wind Creek.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a growing and cross-functional agile team that includes data scientists, machine learning engineers, software engineers, analysts and business partners.
- Use Wind Creek’s large-scale Azure Cloud Platform and data resources to generate deep understanding of our customers and products.
- Design and implement machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact.
- Design and guide experiments/analysis to measure impact and drive product improvements.
- Initiate, develop, and maintain data pipelines with outstanding craftsmanship.
- Help Wind Creek grow cutting-edge and innovative Data Science capabilities.
- Be a thought leader at Wind Creek - predict future areas of innovation.

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Associate’s Degree in Related field– required
- OR Two (2) years’ Supervisory experience– required
- OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a PCI Gaming Department– required
- OR Two (2) years’ experience in the hiring position’s Department– required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a relevant technical field– required
- Four (4) years of hands-on Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning experience– required
- Four (4) years of experience with One (1) programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and One (1) querying languages (e.g., SQL) – required
- Practical experience in A/B testing and causal inference– required
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders– required
- Experience developing large-scale real-time ML system.
- Experience in MLOps.
- Experience in at least one Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience in big data technologies such as Hive, Spark, and Airflow.
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
- Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
