Job Description
You will enrich the Remote Monitoring Team of the Services and Solutions Deliverability department on development of advanced predictive and proactive remote diagnostic models and ETLs using data from our various interventional X-ray systems and sub-systems in the field using advanced analytics, modelling and AI techniques.
The Remote Monitoring Team is responsible for proactively monitoring the installed base of our fixed systems labs and is providing all remote diagnostic content to the field supporting predictive/proactive services, reactive remote and onsite services. The team is also a crucial source of providing machine data towards our Service, Quality and R&D groups for continuous improvement and future developments and data analytics.
You will be part of our Philips Image Guided Therapy fixed systems business.
Your role:
- Do you enjoy diving into extensive data lakes of machine data and various other data sources to deliver ETLs and complex data models that will provide insights for service solutions towards end users? In this data scientist role, you will navigate the complexity of machine data of our systems combined with e.g. historical service case data to drive improvements in our remote predictive and proactive capabilities to prevent unplanned downtime of our customers.
- The data you will be working with is both input for new predictive/proactive/diagnostic models as well as input for our quality and regulatory departments for improvements for future releases of our products and solving issues in the field.
- You will be working in a service and engineering environment with subject matter experts from Service and in close collaboration with software and hardware engineers, business and market colleagues.
- You will be able to lead technical discussions/team meetings in a team of data scientists and plan analysis of the data and preparing attributes for the first ETL/model development phase, preparing for QA testing and eventually bringing the ETL/model into production and maintenance including the communication of the results of your efforts to the teams and stakeholders.

You’re the fit if:
- You have a machine learning background/expert in using the latest analytical techniques such as machine learning, deep learning, AI expert and natural language processing.
- You are experienced in Pyhton, SQL, R, Java data analysis and visualisation of this data.
- You have a data science background in handling "difficult text based" data sets, ETL knowledge and machine learning operations (MLOps) experience.
- You are a team player and able to lead discussions in a data scientist team on technical level and guide the team to solutions.
- You are a go to person willing to learn from and teach others (hands on, open and approachable personality).
- You are self motivated, and you are eager to keep yourself updated about technical developments and practices in own field through literature, courses/trainings, technical contacts, and competitive environment.
- You have 10 to 12 years experience in the data scientist space with 5 -7 years of relevant experience in or affinity with medical device industry or comparable industries.
