Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our data team and lead the development and implementation of advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms. In this role, you will work closely with a small team of data professionals, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will take part in end-to-end data science projects, from planning and development to execution, ensuring timely delivery aligned with business goals.

This is a high-impact role requiring strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and strong business communication skills. Your contributions will help shape the organization's data strategy and promote a culture of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the development of machine learning models and statistical analyses.

• Guide a team of data professionals on best practices and project execution.

• Translate complex business problems into data science solutions.

• Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, develop models, and communicate results.

• Build pipelines for data cleaning, preparation, and transformation.

• Apply advanced analytics techniques including deep learning, natural language processing, and image recognition.

• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders using effective data storytelling.

• Promote best practices in data science, coding standards, and experimentation.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong expertise in Python and SQL

• Proficiency in statistics and applied data science techniques

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science or related fields

• Proven experience in launching and executing full-cycle data science projects

• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members

• Strong understanding of ML/AI methodologies

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in text analytics, image recognition, graph analysis, or deep learning

• Familiarity with distributed computing tools like Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, MapReduce

• Experience with cloud platforms and tools:

  • Azure (Azure ML, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage)

  • Apache Spark, Git, Jupyter Notebooks

• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

• Programming knowledge beyond Python: R, PySpark, C++, JavaScript, SAS, Excel

• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines
