We are looking for a passionate Senior Data Scientist to contribute to our “DSR AI Program”. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will contribute to architecting, designing, building and driving creative AI solutions to help Microsoft's DSR Organizational in its mission to protect Microsoft. The candidate should have solid record of contributing to Data Science teams and be able to translate complex problems into technical designs and solutions.

Responsibilities
- Understand the security topics tackled by the DSR organization and leverage AI/Data Science to empower DSR to learn, share, and develop AI applications (both tradition and LLM-based) effectively and responsibly.
- Collaborate in driving the DSR AI Program by implementing AI solutions for the internal DSR services.
- Work with the Data Science team to acquire data necessary for successful completion of projects. Proactively detect changes and communicate to senior leads. Contribute to data integrity conversations with internal customers.
- Understand the relationship between selected AI/Data Science approaches and security objectives. Designs evaluation methods and present results to internal customers.
- Contribute to responsible AI policies related to data and AI solutions by adhering to and providing suggestions around, best practices.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- OR Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Python, SQL
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning
- 5+ years of experience in big data (e.g., Pyspark) and one or more Data Science packages (e.g., Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Tensorflow/Pytorch)
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

- OR Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
- OR equivalent experience.
- Domain expertise in digital security
- Experience in Generative AI
- Experience in the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Open AI) or similar.
Data Science IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
