This role will involve working closely with brand-aligned product leads to consistently improve results for our data led initiatives within Food industry.
As an experienced Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of driving data-centric decision-making to validate and qualify our product ideas and growth initiatives. Your expertise in building scalable data science solutions will play a pivotal role in optimizing our product strategies and fuelling our growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage data to drive value for our customers, both internal and external.
Job Description
- As part of the Data & Analytics team within the Foods division of Informa Markets, develop analytical and machine learning models to deliver data products.
- Own the full lifecycle of model development from ideation and data exploration, algorithm design and testing, algorithm development and deployment, to algorithm monitoring and tuning in production.
- Collaborate with other data & analytics team members to develop and operationalize consistent approaches to experimentation and campaign measurement.
- Be a master in multi-functional collaboration by developing deep relationships with key partners across the company and coordinating with working teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, marketing teams, sales teams, to develop data-driven hypotheses for new product ideas and growth initiatives.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the potential impact of these hypotheses on product performance and customer engagement.
- Work towards identifying and identifying and monitoring success criteria to effectively forecast product growth and revenue.
- Identify and evaluate external and third-party data sources that complement current or future use cases.
- Support in integration of external data sources seamlessly into analytical workflows for predictive and other machine learning models
- Adhere to data privacy and security protocols in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent. Good to have masters/phd in Data Science.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist building and deploying data products on one or more of NLP, Classification algorithms, Predictive models, recommender systems etc
- Expertise in tools like Python, SQL, GIT, Sagemaker (or equivalent).
- Must have superb quantitative reasoning and interpretation skills with strong ability to provide analysis-driven business insight and recommendations.
- Good MLOps knowledge preferably using AWS stack.
- Experience using advanced statistical techniques for experiment design (A/B and multi-cell testing) and causal inference methods for understanding business impact.
- Experience building relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well with peers and leaders across data, marketing, sales and engineering organizations.
- Creative problem-solver who simplifies problems to their core elements.
- B2B customer data experience a big plus.
