Hybrid Working
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:
To act as an analytics advisor and business partner with senior stakeholders across BUK to identify, evaluate and frame commercial opportunities and risks in order to understand and prioritise work across the BUK Data & Analytics (DNA). Lead a virtual team to investigate these issues with hypothesis driven analytics and use this insight to drive the wider Retail and Business Bank’s agenda to create value for customers, colleagues, the community and the company.
What will you be doing?
- Proactively identify risk and opportunities in order to drive and deliver commercial and customer focused outcomes for Barclays Retail and Business Bank
- Drive the wider Barclays Information Business strategy agenda through leveraging our data to create value for customers, colleagues, the community and the company.
- Act as an ambassador for the BUK Data & Analytics (DNA) team, influencing and advising senior leaders and councils in identifying and driving value enhancing initiatives though provision of insight and analysis
- Lead on the identification of performance trends, customer behaviours and commercial opportunities and risks through application of quantitative analytical skills
- Undertake analysis to understand customer behaviour, product and financial performance to then help to maximise product performance, support product plans and drive key strategic initiatives with support from the Head of Analytics
- Own the design, test and build of complex information across multiple decision engines to identify causal links between customer behaviour and business opportunities and performance
- Input into the development of an analytic strategy that enables product strategy and develops a strong working relationship with the multiple off-shore teams
- Lead initiatives to improve the accuracy, availability, granularity and coverage of our data, and those that implement new data management and manipulation tools
- Set out the targeting approach using he full range of analytical techniques to identify customer needs. Design the test and learn approach, oversee accurate delivery of campaigns and analyse performance to ensure excellent delivery
What we’re looking for:
- In depth understanding of how the business can create value through the application of information and analytics
- Minimum education-Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive experience in creating business models, both financial and consumer behavioural
- Deep experience on how to marry innovative customer analysis with the identification of commercial opportunities
- Extensive experience of statistical analysis techniques
- Expert user of programming in at least one computer language e.g. SAS, R, Python
- Working knowledge of financial and management accounting
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Expertise and practical experience of creating customer segmentation models
- Practical knowledge of data warehouse and MI environments and practises
- Project management and cross functional matrix leadership experience
