The AIM (Analytics, Investment & Marketing Enablement) team – a part of GCS Marketing– is the analytical engine that enables Global Commercial business portfolio of American Express. Accelerating growth momentum, increasing profitability, and powering up our value proposition are key objectives for this organization. The team enables GCS Marketing business by providing actionable insights to drive business strategy and growth.
The Analyst will be responsible for AI/ML matching framework, tech platform expertise to build the commercial prospect database & optimize usage. You will be challenged with designing and creating world class prospect marketing analytics by leveraging machine learning and advanced methodologies.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- The roles and responsibilities of the position would include but not be limited to:
- Evaluate, maintain, and continuously enhance existing AI/ML matching algorithms based on the evolving needs and data availability, while supporting development and delivery of a vision, strategy, and roadmap to achieve a next-generation matching capability.
- Explore the usage and implementation of data mining techniques, including regression analysis, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, and NLP solutions.
- Experience in deploying and managing data products and solutions across a variety of platforms and technologies such as Big Data, PySpark, Hive, Scala, Python
- Bring a strong technical foundation; strong understanding coding practices, architecture, design, get under the hood of complex integrated architectures, coding systems, and interface design.
- Collaborate successfully with product owners, designers, and a broad set of internal technical partners (across multiple internal groups)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. - Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics).
- Strong programming skills & experience with building models & analytical data products are required. Experience with technologies such as Java, Big Data, PySpark, Hive, Scala, Python
- Proficiency & experience in applying cutting edge statistical and machine learning techniques to business problems and leverage external thinking (from academia and/or other industries) to develop best in class data science solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of statistical techniques like hypothesis testing, regression, knn, ttest, chi-square test
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with capabilities, decision sciences, technology teams and external vendors to deliver solutions at top speed.
- Experience with commercial data and ability to create insights and drive results.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions.
