About the Role

Within the Marketing Data Science Organization, we are looking for an expert data generalist to handle a high visibility role working on product analytics and experimentation for uber.com!

What You Will Do

Work closely with the web product team to craft and analyze experiments
Develop dashboards that provide reliable insights and visualization into all lines of businesses (LOBs) that touch our web platforms
Track and understand business trends, proactively flag them, and work with customers to strategize on solutions
Mine web data to gain a better understanding of user behavior to enhance our understanding of uber.com

Basic Qualifications

Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor’s in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields. (If Ph.D., or M.S. degree, a minimum of 1+ years of industry experience is required, and if a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent).
Expertise in Tableau and/or similar platform
Expertise in languages and tools like SQL, R, and/or Python.
Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, optimization, economics, and analytics. Knowledge of experimental design and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in all or some of Web, SEO, Experimentation, Attribution
Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate complex business activities, technical requirements, and recommendations.
Work experience in applying advanced analytics applied science, or causal inference to marketing problems.
Self-motivated with task organizational skills. Ability to achieve consensus amongst technical and business teams

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$140,000 per year - USD$156,000 per year.
