Marketing Data Scientist II

About the Role
Within the Marketing Data Science Organization, we are looking for an expert data generalist to handle a high visibility role working on product analytics and experimentation for uber.com!
What You Will Do
- Work closely with the web product team to craft and analyze experiments
- Develop dashboards that provide reliable insights and visualization into all lines of businesses (LOBs) that touch our web platforms
- Track and understand business trends, proactively flag them, and work with customers to strategize on solutions
- Mine web data to gain a better understanding of user behavior to enhance our understanding of uber.com
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields. (If Ph.D., or M.S. degree, a minimum of 1+ years of industry experience is required, and if a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent).
- Expertise in Tableau and/or similar platform
- Expertise in languages and tools like SQL, R, and/or Python.
- Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, optimization, economics, and analytics. Knowledge of experimental design and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in all or some of Web, SEO, Experimentation, Attribution
- Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate complex business activities, technical requirements, and recommendations.
- Work experience in applying advanced analytics applied science, or causal inference to marketing problems.
- Self-motivated with task organizational skills. Ability to achieve consensus amongst technical and business teams

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$140,000 per year - USD$156,000 per year.
