Your role:

  • Performs as specialized Data Scientist. Acts autonomous within established procedures and practices;
  • Understands product (or service) customers and/or users, and creates ideas and solutions with them in mind
  • Develops solution to the specific problem, by new algorithms and/or significantly modifies the existing, as needed.
  • Selects and implements the best tooling, algorithms, frameworks, languages, and technologies to maximize results and scale as needed.
  • Ensures data quality for model training, validation and deployment
  • Participates in full AI model development processes, working with broader autonomy and in collaboration mode with other team member.
  • Business knowledge: Has a very good awareness on business context, products, and end users. Understands clinical/application domain and systems.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, Statistics or related field; specialization in Data Science
  • 7+ years experience • Education and work experience in relevant competency area or topic in HealthTech industry or university
  • Has in-depth knowledge in a domain and Data Science that is key for Philips innovation today and in the coming years
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in multiple areas of the system, expert in some area.
  • Is able to change to a new technology field when required, leveraging experience and expertise.
  • (Co-)Author of Invention Disclosures, Technical Notes, or Manuscripts Knowledge Sharing:
  • Makes knowledge available for operational use within Philips, contributing to successful execution of data driven activities
  • Stakeholders: Business owners, innovation/project/product managers, Data & AI CoE, SW CoE, CAO, clients, partnership with sub- contractors (e.g. discuss contracts).
  • Shows strong analytical skills paired with scientific curiosity and creativity. Applies own competencies within own department / projects to ideas that have potential to contribute value to the Business.
  • Able to generate new solutions from vague problem statements. Full ownership for creating requirements
  • • Deep technological expertise within a field of data science and experience in Healthcare Informatics
  • • Interest in and passion for data science and bringing innovations to market • Working in multidisciplinary international teams
  • • Good communication skills
  • Primary skills: Data Engineer/Architect with PySpark, Azure, Databricks, Data Modelling, SQL, Analytics.
  • Secondry skills : BI (preferably PowerBI or similar).
  • Good to have: IaC, AWS, Hudi
