WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Lead Data Scientist works closely with cyber SMEs and business stakeholders to produce a holistic cyber risk view across the enterprise. The Lead Cyber Data Scientist will lead data analytic and data science processes, manage the cyber metrics and telemetry program, and help analyze the data and share insights with peers.
The needs of the roles includes

- ability to collaborate and articulate technical requirements for senior management
- Knowledge of visualizations like Bubble Charts, Chart-Box, Chord Dependency Diagrams, Geographic Projects, Heat Maps, Tree Maps, Interactive Sequence Sunbursts, etc a plus.
- Expertise in designing and developing dashboards using Tableau, Tableau API (Python, R, etc). Working with Oracle and SQL Server a plus.
- Experience in creating workflow diagrams to document current and future cyber environment, validating, and analyzing the data using various cyber tools and telemetry.
What you will do
- Leads and directs data analysis and data mining techniques by acquiring, process, cleanse, integrate, explore and investigate data sets by using algorithms and potential models.
- Leads and applies data science techniques, such as machine learning, statistical modeling and artificial intelligence working closely with senior team members.
- Measures and improves results and present final results to stakeholders. Make adjustments based on feedback and repeat processes to solve for new problems.
- Documents the analytic and data science work products
- Accurately define and execute transformations, aggregations and other data manipulations to meet requirements
- Develop standards, templates and procedures for the department
- Manage team execution of large programs & projects of significant complexity and risk
- Maintain an enterprise cyber level view across department data landscape
- Conduct on-going analysis and make recommended improvement of the development process and practices
- Leverage knowledge and skill with a variety of query tools, analytic techniques, tools, platforms, to analyze large quantities of data, from multiple sources, to design, create, and maintain, dashboards, business plans, forecasts, projections and presentations, models, algorithms, and statistical and financial analyses.
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years experience Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Programming, Data Storytelling
- Minimum 7 years experience Big Data technologies such as Spark, AWS, Hadoop including traditional RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Minimum 7 years experienceAdvanced Java, R, SQL, Python coding
- Three (3) years experience in a lead role overseeing and directing day-to-day tasks
Skills and Knowledge
- Advance experience in machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Advance experience with common data science toolkits and visualization tools
- Advance statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Advance initiative, organization and time management skills
- Advance analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal relations skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a team
- Ability work with high degree of independence, researches and resolves questions and problems, requests manager input and keeps manager informed
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Lead multiple tasks and projects; lead and guide stakeholders to solve new problems
- Lead key initiatives on data mining and machine learning
- Provide input to team resources, processes and technology roadmaps
- Guide and mentor team members to leverage and apply data mining, data science methodologies
Compensation
Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
