The Role & Responsibilities
The role will work within the MI and Analytics team within the Enterprise Division and will support in unlocking further value from our data sources to help drive our business objectives. Our remit covers many areas, including Sales, Product, Operations, and Risk, and will include building relationships with stakeholders.
A key element of this role will be to boost our advanced analytics capability as we focus more into the data science space.
- Applying data mining and statistical analysis to produce predictive analytics. Projects are likely to include forecasting, segmentation and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Driving insight from our Azure data lake via programming languages (such as Python or R).
- Partner with other Data Science colleagues within our Data Community to collaborate and help drive our teams advanced analytics capability.
- Promote transparency in our work by maintaining a clear pipeline of work, defined timelines and ownership of delivery.
The Person
- An interest in data, analytics, or statistics.
- An understanding of machine learning techniques
- Applied statistics skills, such as distribution, regression etc.
- A problem-solving mentality, with the ability to self-diagnose and investigate problems.
- Use of data science programming and tooling such as Python, R, Matlab etc.
- An interest in finance and banking
- Comfortable in an adaptable working environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
