As a leader in the U.S., providing home warranty and home repair services, operating under the brands American Water Resources, Pivotal Home Solutions and American Home Solutions. Position Summary
We are seeking a Director of Data Science to drive innovative data science practices and lead the implementation of cutting-edge solutions across our organization. As the Director of Data Science, you will play a strategic leadership role, utilizing advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven insights to inform key decision-making processes.
You will be responsible for leading a team of talented data scientists, collaborating closely with cross-functional departments to extract valuable insights from complex datasets. Based in our Chicagoland office in Naperville, IL, with the possibility of considering our Mt Laurel, New Jersey office, a regular in-office or hybrid model is strongly preferred, as it fosters our company culture and employee experience.

Located at our office in Naperville, IL our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.

Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing data science team, driving data-driven decision-making aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, employing advanced techniques such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and segmentation to optimize strategies across customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty programs.
- Identify growth and efficiency improvement opportunities organization-wide, implementing data-driven solutions that deliver measurable results.
- Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders, utilizing data visualization tools and effective communication methods to convey complex information clearly.
- Foster collaboration with customer-facing teams, leveraging customer feedback and data to enhance the overall customer experience and drive long-term loyalty.
- Utilize your expertise as the Director of Data Science to drive data-driven decision-making, foster innovation, and maximize the potential of data science across the organization
Experience and Qualifications of the Role
- In-depth technical expertise in data modeling, SQL, and Python, enabling effective data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of key business metrics and the ability to leverage data insights to drive growth and achieve tangible business outcomes.
- Experience in managing teams or working collaboratively in a team environment, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing data-driven solutions, utilizing advanced analytics techniques to generate actionable insights and drive informed business decision-making with significant impact.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with the Commercial Finance function to leverage analytical capabilities and drive continuous improvements in business performance.
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites
- Prior knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of advanced ML/AI techniques
- Understanding of ETL/Cloud Infrastructure
- Proficiency in Tableau, Looker, or other BI tool

- Bachelor’s degree
