We are looking for a professional passionate about Data Science who can translate business challenges into innovative technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in AWS and MLOps, with specific expertise in Champion-Challenger architecture and leveraging Amazon Q for advanced machine learning workflows.
Strong analytical skills, a focus on automating machine learning processes, and the ability to ensure the performance and scalability of models in production are essential. Their ability to work in agile environments and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams will be critical for success in this role.
Duties and responsibilities
- Define and manage the datasets required for implementing machine learning models.
- Design, develop, and deploy analytical models aligned with the company's needs.
- Provide maintenance and support for current models, ensuring their accuracy and relevance.
- Automate the training of models using efficient pipelines.
- Automate the deployment of models across multiple environments using MLOps best practices, including Champion-Challenger architecture to test and evaluate model performance.
- Implement Champion-Challenger MLOps workflows to ensure seamless transitions between experimental and production-ready models.
- Leverage Amazon Q for advanced machine learning solutions, scaling, and experimentation.
- Document developed models and associated processes to ensure reproducibility and scalability.
- Monitor and ensure the optimal performance of models in production environments.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Read, acknowledge and comply with Viamericas Staff Information Security Policy via the Information Security training portal. This should be done within 30 days of hire and repeated annually.
- Attend periodic Information Security training provided by Viamericas'.
- Report any event that might be an Information Security Incident: clicked on a malicious link, downloaded and opened a suspicious file, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in related roles.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Strong expertise in relational and non-relational databases.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, MLOps, and AWS services, including SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Redshift, and Amazon Q.
- Proven experience in designing, training, maintaining, and deploying machine learning models.
- Expertise in Champion-Challenger MLOps architecture, A/B testing, and leveraging Amazon Q for enhanced model management.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or QuickSight is desirable.
- Proven experience in implementing models in production and building MLOps pipelines, particularly Champion-Challenger workflows.
- Experience using Amazon Q for model scaling and advanced analytics.
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges.
