What you'll be doing...

This position will drive profitable growth and business innovation by applying cutting-edge machine learning techniques and AI technology. It will work on data science projects that drive product personalization, marketing effectiveness, channel optimization, better customer experience, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with a team of talented data scientists, data and machine learning engineers, and software developers and play a key role in developing and delivering the next-generation AI/ML solutions to the business. You'll create analytical models to predict customer behavior and business events. You'll then present the results to various business partners such as marketing, finance, and our customer relationship management group. With an eye towards improving performance and predictability, you like the science of analytics and developing resolutions to complex problems. Using your sharp judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria enables you to deliver solutions that make a big impact. You're able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and you take pride in your ability to share your considerable knowledge with your peers. The key responsibilities include:

  • Working on data science projects independently and deliver innovative technical solutions to solve problems and improve business outcomes.

  • Completing the design and development of machine learning/statistical models and ensure best performance.

  • Working closely with machine learning engineers to deploy models in production both in real time and in batch process and systematically track model performance.

  • Assisting engagement with key business stakeholders in discussion on business strategies and opportunities.

  • Building strong working relationships and develop deep partnership with the business.

  • Stepping in as a subject matter expert on machine learning and predictive modeling.

  • Driving technical innovation through active research and applications of new theories, techniques, and technologies.


What we're looking for...

You have strong analytical skills, and are eager to work in a collaborative environment with global teams to drive ML application in business problems, develop end to end analytical solutions and communicate insights and findings to leadership. You work independently and are always willing to learn new technologies. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are able to interact with various partners and multi-functional teams to implement data science driven business solutions.


You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Solid foundational quantitative knowledge and skills. Extensive training in math, statistics, physical science, engineering, or other related fields is required.

  • Good technical expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling.

  • Solid knowledge of tree-based classification and regression techniques such as boosting and random forest. Good knowledge of ML Python frameworks, packages, and libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch).

  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.

  • Hands-on programming experience in SQL.

  • Experience with data platforms such as Spark, Hadoop, BigQuery, Snowflake or others.

  • Experience with GCP, AWS or other cloud computing services.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills.


Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent.

  • Experience in both batch and streaming models in production.

  • Experience with Recommendation and Ranking systems.

  • Experience with Deep Learning, NLP, Transformers, and chatbot technology is a big plus.

  • Knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and optimization.

Where you'll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
