Role Overview

ID.me is looking for a Data Scientist V with a background in personalization to join our Marketplaces team. In this role, you will lead building our next-generation recommendation models driving unique and personalized member experience across all ID.me products and services. You will work closely with cross functional teams, including product, data, operations and senior leadership to develop and drive world class personalization products for ID.me members. This role is hybrid and requires the candidate to be onsite in the Washington DC area or SF Bay Area.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and stakeholders to develop personalization products for ID.me members
  • Design experiments, test hypotheses, and build data models
  • Work with data team to identify and analyze patterns
  • Recommend and test new analytics algorithms and models
  • Educate the organization on new analytical approaches to drive business decisions
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, coaching and/or training to junior Data Scientist

Qualifications

The qualifications below are ideal, but not all are required. We encourage candidates to apply if they satisfy some, but not all of the qualifications.

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data science for a SaaS company or a mature startup
  • BS/MS in Data Science or a related quantitative or scientific field
  • Experience with SQL & the Python ML ecosystem - pandas, numpy, sklearn, etc.
  • Experience with Recommendation algorithms & one or more deep learning libraries
  • Experience ingesting, processing, and visualizing data sources of varying types - structured/relational and unstructured
  • Experience in developing, managing, and manipulating large, complex datasets
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented individual with excellent storytelling and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Superb time management, prioritization of tasks and ability to meet deadlines with little supervision

The annual base salary listed below for this role is based on experience, skills, education, relevant training and geographic location. Company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, and benefits are available depending on the role.

Pay Range

$140,000—$198,000 USD
