Trimble is seeking a talented Data Scientist to spearhead our Cross Sell & Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives. This role offers the chance to be at the intersection of data science and business strategy, using analytical prowess to drive product innovation and market success.

PLG is an innovative business methodology where the product itself is the main catalyst for customer acquisition, expansion, conversion, and retention. It emphasizes creating products so compelling that they self-promote.
Your Role:
As a Data Scientist in our PLG team, you will play a pivotal role in steering the growth of Trimble’s diverse product portfolio. Your work will focus on analyzing comprehensive datasets, including customer, prospect, and market information, as well as detailed product usage data. Your insights will be critical in developing targeted growth strategies. Build upon Trimble’s advanced construction and engineering AI tools to enhance cross-selling strategies, empowering our sales team to more effectively tap into the vast opportunities within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Data and Opportunity Analysis: Optimize customer acquisition and activation funnels, employing rapid experimentation and A/B testing.
- Lifecycle Management: Enhance the customer journey, from onboarding experiences to product upgrades, supporting product-led sales strategies.
- Engagement and Conversion: Work closely with product managers to increase user engagement and convert casual users into power users.
- Barriers Identification and Strategy: Identify and address adoption barriers through research, feedback, and competitive analysis.
- Data Analysis and Experimentation: Apply statistical techniques to interpret data and implement experiments aimed at boosting product adoption.
- Research and Pricing Strategy: Conduct user research and pricing analysis, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Growth Experiments: Lead growth experiments to improve user discovery, activation, and engagement with cloud products and services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in descriptive and predictive analytics, data science and machine learning.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, R, Python, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging analytics to drive business decisions in marketing and sales.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Independent work ethic and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.

Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
Hiring Range:
$76 245 - $99 245
