PURPOSE/SCOPE:
The Global Supply Chain strategy development and deployment team focuses on building an agile global Center of Excellence that leads strategic planning, roadmap development and deployment, global standards, and operating model governance in alignment with the overall business and company goals. The primary objective of the Global Supply Chain COE is to be the driving force behind supply chain key strategic priorities and initiatives, aiming to achieve operational excellence, cost savings, improved customer satisfaction and a competitive advantage in our marketplace.
The Global Supply Chain Data Scientist will reside in the COE and be responsible for evaluating the performance of our end-to-end value chain and solving complex supply chain constraints. The role will be required to work in partnership with cross-functional teams to analyze data, trends, market factors, supply chain performance indicators and/or other data to identify opportunities and initiatives to reduce cost and enhance supply chain value. The role will use data to construct cost-benefit analytics and scenario evaluations to present opportunities and benefit impacts to key Executive decision-makers. The Global Supply Chain Data Scientist will also play a significant part supporting group initiatives, process improvements and system projects as part of the strategic plan.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
- Analyze data to improve supply chain efficiency and solve dynamic problems important to the success of the organization
- Effectively and efficiently conduct data analysis to improve supply chain operations
- Collaborate directly with cross-functional groups to proactively identify constraints within the supply chain
- Interpret data that translates into robust solutions for the organization’s most significant complex problems
- Conduct organizational and process improvement cost-benefit analytics
- Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data across multiple data sources
- Provide risk mitigation solutions through data analysis
- Communicate risk mitigation action plans and improvement ideas to executive stakeholders
- Ensure supply chain actions and decisions are driven by real, quantifiable insight
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or MIS
- Minimum 5 years related experience working in analytics with data analysis tools
- Certification in data analytics systems or methodology a plus (Power BI, BW, etc.)
- Experience in problem statement development, cost-benefit analysis and value statements
- Experience with business intelligence tools or other data mining tools experience a plus
