As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. We are looking for a data scientist to join the Video Content Research (VCR) team within Prime Video to help measure the impact of engagement with Prime Video content and integrate it into our content valuation framework.
Key job responsibilities
- Build models to predict title performance over long time horizons
- Help integrate predictive models into team products used by Prime Video decision-makers around the world
- Interact with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to understand their primary use cases and deepen understanding of model behavior
- Incorporate new data sources and implementing creative methodology innovations to improve model performance
- Create and tracking accuracy and performance metrics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 2+ years of data scientist experience
- 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
- Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
