Seeking highly skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Data Scientist/Software Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative software solutions while leveraging data science techniques to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address business challenges and drive value though both technology and analytics.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop maintain scalable and efficient software applications to meet business requirements
- Utilize programming languages including but not limited to Javascript, C#, Python, SQL to write clean and efficient code
- Apply analytics to large data sets using statistical empirical frameworks
- Solve business problems and optimize processes with well thought out solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and data visualization and interpretation to uncover patterns, trends and actionable insights
- Design and implement data pipelines for data collection, processing and analysis
- API development
- Communicate findings, results and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders though reports, meetings, emails dashboards and presentations

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a software engineer and data scientist with 3+ years of experience
- 1+ years of familiarity with Cloud Platforms
- Experience with Data Manipulation using Python Libraries or SQL

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
