As an I4.0 analyst within the SMAI-Business function team, your main objective is to work with business users, analyze requirements and evaluate opportunities to help improve Supply chain management within Micron. You will be liaising closely with various business customers across multiple departments to understand their needs. This will be followed by conceptualizing the solutions, work to get the data and its access, proving the solution model, benefit listing, developing the implementation plan and work with various customers to implement, scale and improve these models. This will entail work with dedicated Data Engineers and Data scientists who are a part of the team to implement these requirements. In this role, you are expected to work closely with data in its most granular form, to identify existing patterns and unearth process gaps. Such data-crunching activities will constitute most of the team’s efforts toward building best in class Supply Chain Management practices.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

  • Work with supply chain management customers to define requirements, diagnose, design, and analyze information related to the adoption of I4.0 solutions.
  • Work with customers on developing schedule and cadence of meetings.
  • This role will ensure to provide the timely update to all key customers and timely implementation of the solution.
  • Wear the hat of a project manager to manage schedule, customer expectations, critical issues and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Develop business case which includes ROI of potential solutions, impact validation approach, and implementation plan.
  • Close collaboration and coordination with all customers, solution partners like data engineers, data scientists to deliver the project.
  • Work with global teams across time zones and geographies.
  • Quantify and track the financial/operational impacts of I4.0 solutions to the supply chain business function.
  • Develop key insights and show case it to customer and business function leaders on the solutions being developed, so that it explains the work done and values delivered.
  • Identify new I4.0 use cases and standard methodologies across strategic and operational supply chain processes.
  • Identify resources, contacts, and process owners to gather and report relevant data.

Qualifications:

  • Desire to work on data analysis projects that will improve or optimize supply chain processes.
  • Ability to think critically and break down complex data/processes to identify key levers and applicable solutions.
  • Ability to apply standard problem-solving methods to identify process gaps.
  • Ability to identify data sources across a broad spectrum of data storage and work with small, big, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Ability to extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages and apply data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques.
  • Experience with or desire to learn basics of:
    • Python and/or R
    • Machine learning and other advanced analytical methods, and
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Snowflake.
  • Ability to manage customers’ expectations and help with prioritization of projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey the message clearly and sharply both locally and globally (Written, Verbal, and Presentation)
