Through insightful technology and services, Itron is helping utilities and cities around the world better manage energy and water for generations to come. Itron's Sales Excellence organization is looking for a Business Intelingence & Analytics Spectialist to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in Customer Market Experience's (CME) business and help translate that into high value-added advisory solutions to stakeholders.
- Create, manage, and own data warehouse; bridge data from different servers into a single source
- Assist on projects using data-exploration techniques to identify new or previously unasked questions.
- Interpret data and review results using statistical techniques and provide standardized reports
- Develop and implement databases and data collection systems and other strategies to enable discovery and transformation.
- Seek and acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Filter and transform data by reviewing performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Have knowledge and skill with visualizing information in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
The successful candidate will:
- Be great at solving problems, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to complex technical issues such as creating custom levels of security based on profiles.
- Enjoy organizing, analyzing, and extracting meaningful information from large amounts of data to enable customer and Itron success.
- Have the desire to gain an understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, experimental design, generalized linear models, mixed modeling, decision trees, neural networks, and ensemble models that will help drive insight and produce a prediction model based on the algorithms.
- Have the ability and willingness to think and act strategically in support of CME’s mission and operating goals.
- Comfortable with servers and finding connections between them to make them as efficient as possible, mainly in the Azure environment (cubes).
Required Skills & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Fundamental conceptual thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Travel: 1-10%
Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
Locations: The candidate for this position must be located in Wisconsin.
