What the Candidate Will Do

Scope & Impact: You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple cross-functional global teams to deliver scalable data solutions including but not limited to statistical models, monitoring solutions & analytical frameworks.

  • Build scalable analytical frameworks to support product analytics for Uber's Payment Compliance, Risk and Identity Platform
  • Build & maintain critical data pipelines, insight boards & monitoring rules
  • Be an invaluable partner to cross-functional teams such as engineering, product management, various data teams to ensure data quality across critical pipelines and to set up processes to triage data issues
  • Develop and track metrics and reporting functions to measure and monitor platform health
  • Effectively and proactively communicate insights and drive projects to drive towards team goals
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to build new solutions to tackle Compliance, Risk and Identity challenges
  • Assist in new product experimentation including plan creation, roll-out, and monitoring

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience (with Bachelor's Degree) OR 1+ years of experience (with Master's Degree) in a data-focused role such as product analytics, risk analytics, business analytics, business operations, or data science
  • Education in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics or equivalent experience
  • Experience in statistical languages (SQL, SAS, R) and/or in modern programming languages (Python)
  • Past experience with a Product / Tech / Analytics Services company serving businesses with millions of customers on multiple platforms and countries

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL mastery. Write efficient and complex code in SQL
  • Experience in Python/R and experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical modeling is a plus
  • Experience in Payments or Compliance or Risk domains with a Product / Tech / Analytics Services company is preferred
  • Proven ability to handle and visualize large datasets, explore and utilize raw data feeds
  • Love of data - One should have the zeal to just go get the required data and turn it into an insightful story
  • A well-organized, structured approach to problem-solving
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Great communicator, problem-solver & confident in decision making
  • Independent & autonomous, while still a strong teammate
  • Enthusiastic, self-starting and thrives in changing, agile environments
