About you
You are someone who enjoys a fast paced, dynamic work environment, who excels in quick problem solving and likes to get the job done!
You are able to work tactically and think strategically as the business rapidly scales. You understand how integral you are to the success and future of DigiHaul and the part you play in transforming the transport industry.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of work, adhering to best practices for data model architecture and development processes.
- Lead the end-to-end data science project lifecycle, encompassing problem identification, development of machine learning or analytical solutions, implementation and roll-out as well as deployment and maintenance.
- Deploy predictive and prescriptive algorithms at scale to optimise processes and resources utilisation.
- Ensure the data integrity, accuracy, and efficacy of data models.
- Serve as a bridge between business and technology by effectively communicating sophisticated data science concepts through simple and clear visualisation.
What do you need?
Required skills:
- 3~5 years of hands-on experience in applying advanced analytics or data science skills at scale.
- MSc or PhD level education in STEM subjects such as computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python or R, as well as experience with SQL queries.
- Solid understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, translating them into actionable business insights.
- Proven track record in project management skills, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
- Ability to interpret and convey technical topics and key insights across diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
Preferred skills:
- Proven ability to drive initiatives and deliver commercial impact within the transportation industry.
- Previous experience in leading a growing data science team in a scale up company.
- Prior commercial exposure to Microsoft Azure.
