Description
Data Scientist with Boehringer Ingelheim USA Corporation in Duluth, GA (Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from this office 2 to 3 days per week)
Job Duties:
- Apply expertise in data science to design, prototype, and build the next-generation analytics engines and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement the most appropriate algorithm for the specific challenge.
- Prioritize, scope, and measure the corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for success.
- Establish the monitoring of data science models in production.
- Use agile project management approach to initiatives and launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy scalable solutions.
- Collaborate across the business to understand data, IT, and business constraints.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge exchange with other data science teams within and outside the organization.
- Guide the organization about the business potential and strategy of artificial intelligence (AI)/data science.
- Actively network on a regular basis with domain experts to better understand the business mechanics that generated the data.
- Train and coach other business and IT staff on basic data science principles and techniques.
- Provide thought leadership by researching best practices, conducting experiments, and collaborating with industry leaders.
*Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Boehringer Ingelheim USA Corporation office in Duluth, GA 2 to 3 days per week.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (8:00am to 5:00pm)
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with programming language, such as Python, R or SPSS. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Data Visualization Tool, including Tableau, Quicksight, Power BI, Qlik, Dash, Streamlit or Flask; analyzing structured data; data classification, segmentation, or clustering; regression modeling or statistical modeling; and, univariate or bivariate analysis. Must have experience with statistical hypothesis testing.
