This is a visible and important role at Apple in China and will have great impact on Sales Team. The individual in this role will be responsible for interpreting quantitative data and developing statistical models to forecast and monitor sales demand & supply for sales analytics team.
Key Qualifications
- Strong background in statistics or econometrics: regression analysis, causal inference, time series analysis, GLM, logistic regression, probability theory, regularization
- Strong practical experience with experimental designs such as A/B testing and quasi experiments
- Experience with machine learning modeling is a plus but not required
- Proficient in R/Python and SQL
- Advocate and practitioner of version control and reproducible code
- Experienced in sharing technical concepts and results with a non-technical audience
- Experienced in working cross-functionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both Mandarin Chinese and English
Description
- Work with various teams to understand business problems, identify opportunities and provide analytical solutions
- Mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of products and processes
- Design and analyze experiments; Make recommendations on rollout and future iteration plans
- Develop internal visualization and modeling to facilitate data-driven decisions
- Present analytical findings and results to business partners
- Provide consultancy on data techniques and conduct knowledge sharing sessions
Education & Experience
- PhD in Economics, Statistics or related fields with 2+ years of data science/quantitative modeling experience
- M.S. in Economics, Statistics or related fields with 5+ years of data science/quantitative modeling experience
