- 11 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.
- 6 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.
- Experience in quantitative data analysis related to online advertising and emerging businesses.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships, work in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment and drive operational initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills (e.g., slide decks, live presentations, whitepapers) to distill information concisely to executive audiences.
About the job
As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large data sets and building expert systems that improve our understanding of the Web and improve the performance of our products. This effort includes performing complex statistical analysis on non-routine problems and working with engineers to embed models into production systems. You will manage fast changing business priorities and interface with product managers and engineers.
In this role, you will be part of a growing data science team for analysts, scientists, and engineers. You will work on business issues across multiple business areas through the lens of business generation. You will build and lead a team and collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and project managers to create data products to enable our finance partners to make informed decisions, and manage risks and opportunities. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead complex initiatives across YouTube Ads, including ad hoc analyses that are reviewed by Solution Validation Process (SVP), earnings presentations, forecast cycles, annual planning, and business updates to leadership.
- Own core business analysis and reporting cadences. Coach analysts and understand drivers and identify opportunities for growth.
- Leverage investigative and technical abilities to build scalable solutions to provide insights into product strategy in ambiguous environments.
- Create data, tools, and processes to enable the entire YouTube Ads Finance team to execute on forecasting and analytical remits efficiently.
- Demonstrate leadership and build relationships, educate and influence business leaders and their delegates through timely, relevant, thorough and tailored communication.
