Job Responsibilities
- Serve as one of the primary drivers of enhancing Nissans Customer Lifetime Value through the development and insights derived from EV related Data Products and Services.
- Apply Data Science techniques to improve revenue/profit or achieve cost savings by developing strategic recommendations for data related projects and workstreams.
- Tasked with deriving insights that support the development of these data products and services with the aim of improving customer adoption, engagement, retention and revenue generation.
- Work on products and studies that span multiple Nissan business units along the customer journey or focus on a narrower but in-depth project relating to a single business division or customer touchpoint.
- Support Data Engineering (cleaning, wrangling), Analytics (visualization, storyboarding) and Data Science (prediction) work across projects.
- Assist in Project Management (Waterfall, Agile) of current and upcoming cross-functional data science initiatives related to EV.
- If interest from the intern exist there is also opportunity to get involved in Data Science and Product Strategy work relating to Nissans ecosystem of services
- As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
In order to qualify for this role, you must:
- Currently be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science or a related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Ability to perform work onsite at NNA HQ in Franklin, Tennessee.
- Intermediate understanding of Data Science concepts and use associated tools such as Python, Tableau.
- Extensive use of data for analysis
- Previous experience in electrification, connected products, and/or automotive strategy is strongly preferred.
- An entrepreneurial mindset is desirable, with a proven ability to identify and create opportunities where value can be achieved for Nissan
- Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Has an interest and enjoys meeting and interacting with new people.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and managing databases
- Advantageous if candidates experience, interest or development potential in project management (Agile or Waterfall)
- Advantageous if candidate has experience in working in a collaborative development environment such as Anaconda, Colab, Github/Lab.
