We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role:

The role is based out of Chennai/Bangalore and would help drive business project deliveries across Analytics, Data Science and ML domains. The stakeholders are spread across multiple geographies and need proactive drive to support broader organization goals.

Meet our team:

GADS PMO team is part of the Office of CTO and support the Enterprise analytics, data science and ML function within PayPal. The team has around 10 people spread across 3 different countries supporting the breadth and depth of Data Science and Analytics deliveries.

Job Description:
Your way to impact:

Global Analytics & Data Science division develops cutting edge Analytics & AI/ML based solutions that serve the entire PayPal ecosystem. GADS PMO owns all aspects of portfolio, program management for the whole data science & analytics organization.

Your day to day:

• Role will involve understanding business requirements, ability to translate & implement solutions in a scalable and consistent way using applicable tools and processes.

• Ability to translate business requirements, work with various levels of business and Engineering/ Data Science/Analytics stakeholders to create innovative design solutions.

• Ability to help drive execution across all phases of projects in connecting engineering with Architecture, Partner & Product teams.

• Role will be a hybrid of project management, process improvement & tooling.

• Own & Drive Scrum of scrum ceremonies & act as Agile champion for the domains supported.

• Drive coordinated management of inter-dependent projects in Agile and waterfall environments.

• Automate team dashboards, metrics delivery & executive presentation using tools outlined.

• Drive operational excellence activities required to ensure a streamlined production process of our data science deliveries.

• Manage project/program level communications both between and across GADS & its stakeholders.

• Lead analytics projects that will enable insights and data democratization.

• Ensure timely delivery of projects & measurable KPIs are documented.

What you need to bring:

• 3-5 years project management experience (data science domain a plus)

• Experience managing large and small projects using various Project management tools: JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence and MS Office Suite

• Strong knowledge of Data Science life cycle processes, tools & techniques

• Self-managed, proactive & possess strong sense of ownership.

• A people's person with solid communication skills (both online and off) to varied levels of audience.

• Experience working cross-functionally to manage and mitigate risks as a part of Project Risk Management.

• Comfortable working in a collaborative, open team environment.

• Superior attention to details and organization skills.

• Agility in working across time zones (we have teams in NA, EMEA and APAC).

• A Bachelor's degree.

The traits to exceed:

• Direct collaboration with data scientists/developers, analysts and business customers.

• Experience in Data Analysis and Visualization synthesizing raw data using SQL and visualizing them in Tableau/Power BI.

• Experience in Data Science & Machine Learning using Python and R for retail and operational data.

• Online payments, Risk, fraud, or data science domains preferred.

• Expertise in Agile work environment.

• Prefer PMP, CSM certification.
